The Herman Herd were a three piece band: Mark Howe (Guitar / Vocals); Mark Wernham (Bass); David Clark (Drums). Originally from King's Lynn, the Herman Herd was named after a practice tape anounced the name, part of a previous recording, just before the ensuing practise.
