History Edit

The Boogie House was an underground venue in Westlegate, frequented by many punk and ska bands in the late 1970s. The Undertones, The Specials and The Merton Parkas (the latter featuring a pre-Style Council Mick Talbot) were among the bands who played at the venue.

Not only punk bands, but the few rock bands that were still doing the circuit at the time. I remember seeing Iron Maiden play a mid week gig at the Boogie House to an audience of 12 people
